How to Size a Plate Carrier Shirt the First Time

1. Big & Tall fit changes the math

Our Armor Carrier Shirt runs M, L, XL and XXL in a Big & Tall fit — intentionally roomier through the torso than a standard tee in the same letter size, to leave room for panels underneath.

2. Measure for what's underneath, not just your chest

If you already own panels, measure your chest circumference with the panel mentally added, not bare-chest. Undersizing for what goes inside is the most common mistake with carrier garments specifically.

3. When in doubt, size up rather than down

Oversized is just loose. Undersized can mean the mesh pockets sit wrong or the collar rides too tight against the neck. For this garment, sizing up is the safer mistake to make.

4. The mesh pockets don't stretch with the size

Pocket dimensions — 10 in × 12 in front and back, 6 in × 6 in on the sides — are fixed regardless of shirt size. Going up a size buys you comfort through the body, not a bigger panel pocket.

5. Try it on before the tags come off

Our return window is 30 days, buyer pays return shipping — plenty of time, but only if you try the shirt on with tags still attached. Removing tags before confirming fit makes a return harder than it needs to be.
