Concealed Carrier Shirts: What They're For (and What They're Not)

1. A carrier shirt is a mounting garment, not armor

By itself, a carrier shirt provides no ballistic protection — it's a shirt with mesh pockets sized to hold panels you source separately. Our own Armor Carrier Shirt is explicitly a shirt only: no armor plates or soft panels included.

2. Pocket sizing determines what panels actually fit

Front and back pockets fit panels up to 10 in × 12 in; side pockets fit panels up to 6 in × 6 in. Shop for panels around those numbers — not the other way around — or you'll own a shirt and a panel that don't match.

3. Concealability depends on fit, not just color

Black fabric under a jacket still prints if the shirt is loose and boxy. A fitted carrier shirt with flat-lock seams sits closer to the body, which is as much a part of concealment as the color is.

4. Where it's actually worn

Concealed wear under everyday clothing and security or duty work are the realistic uses. It's not built as standalone cold-weather wear — there's no insulation, just the mesh-pocket carrier structure.

5. The double-needle collar is a small detail that matters daily

A standard sport collar sags under repeated wear over months. Double-needle stitching resists that — a detail you won't notice in a photo but will notice on day 200.
